PMG has decided not to submit a bid for the Miami Dade College property at 520 Biscayne, according to a source familiar with the developer’s plans.
At least three bids are expected by the deadline in January. Gary Nader is proposing a Latin American Art Museum and condo tower project, while Gregg Covin and Chad Oppenheim will submit plans for a mixed-use tower. Related Group and Arquitectonica are also preparing a proposal, which hasn’t been revealed yet.
At the former Empire World Towers site down the block, PMG is expected to soon reveal plans for a luxury condo tower with about 500 units. It will reach 1,049 above sea level, or 1,038 feet above ground, if approved by the FAA.
