Hopefully a walk and bikeable street design with little emphasis on cars. No giant parking podiums.

I’m hoping its a connected site between multiple buildings with lots of permanent shade incorporated throughout with an emphasis on a pedestrian waterfront that connects under the MacArthur causeway.

YES! Needs to / Must connect under the MacArthur causeway.

While this not the responsibility of the property owner, I hear that the bayfront connection between the PAMM and SmartCity site will be Iconic!

Genting and Maefield both emphasized the Bayfront and walkability. Of course this group will to.

TNM production meeting : Hey…what do we do with these 10 year old renderings and potato shot video we have in the file cabinet ? Ummm… just re-post them with a new meaningless story about the Herald site. Sounds good, Bob.

Lmao some of these stories are so worthless. FYI Miami might get the SuperBowl in 2040!

It’s hard to come up with 16 legit downtown Miami development news stories per week, and when they venture into Broward to find legit news half their readers shit a chicken.

Enough already

Built it just like it’s drawn.

Live-stream it, so we can drink every time some d-bag with a beard in a suit and unbuttoned dress shirt with no tie says “iconic” or “game changer.”

Hahaha….good idea!

While the men who build skyscrapers are building….the kids who find it “impossible” to walk on sidewalks in Brickell are hanging in their rental apartment drinking at 10am.

Is this related to Smart Brickell development?

In replacement of this beautiful project of the six towers of Resorts World Miami, which nobody would have the money to build – not even China and Dubai -, I have an expectation that nothing with exceptional architecture will come. Unfortunately. It would be a defeat for our skyline.

Does pessimism run in your family? Or are you the exception?

I’m not a pessimist, I’m a realist, based on the designs and constructions of Downtown. Everyone always complains about the cereal boxes here at TNM. When a new project is presented, we’ll see if I was right.

It’s a shame Resorts World Miami is never going to get built. This is a project you’d see in Asian countries, like China, Thailand, or Singapore. We need something extravagant to be built like this in Miami or other places in the US. We don’t really have any unique skyscrapers / buildings that are eye-catching in any of the major US cities. NYC Skyscrapers and other projects that have been built have been pretty boring and bland the last 30-50 years.

I couldn’t agree more. I don’t know why people in this site keeps getting excited with the same old boring designs. Miami has the most repetitive skyline ever.

Yes if they are so unique and great, and aren’t too much harder to build than say the guitar tower in Hollywood, it seems these designs would be adopted or stolen for other projects.

No, casinos don’t belong in this location. Glad casinos are far away from City Center.

Agree. Perfect spot for a top tier college campus, fine art and entertainment venues, retail and restaurants and a landmark monument and residences.

A giant globe would be cool – something half under water where you can see the aquatic part of the city and dance and dine underwater.

Whatever happened to that guy who used to post 15 times per week “Downtown Miami needs a World-Class Casino”? The checks from Genting must’ve stopped coming.

Still a significant loss not to see the original Resorts World Miami complex be discarded.

You dont know what’s planned and can’t guarantee the original renderings would have been built..

It was a beautiful design. Hopefully something even better will be built.
