Faena Forum is finally rising out of the ground in Miami Beach.
The 50,000-square-foot cultural center is being designed by architect Rem Koolhaas and his architectural firm, OMA. It will showcase performance and art.
During Art Basel, the developer revealed a mockup of the interior of the center, which is said by Dezeen to be inspired by the Pantheon.
Guests will enter the building via a curving staircase placed at the base of the cylindrical portion of the structure, located on Collins Avenue. They will be greeted by a reception area and bar, which will also include a small performance space.
A soaring, 40-foot domed roof will rise above the auditorium space, topped by an oculus, as at the pantheon.
