Publix Granted Permit To Begin Construction On Supermarket At 3 MiamiCentral

The City of Miami has issued a construction permit to Publix to begin work on their newest store in Miami’s urban core.

A supermarket will be built on the ground level of 3 MiamiCentral, which also includes office space and parking on the upper levels. The headquarters office for Virgin Trains (formerly Brightline) is in those offices, and the station is one block away.

According to the permit, 27,935 square feet of retail space is being built out for Publix at an estimated cost of $3,319,313.

Hawkins Construction is listed as the General Contractor.

Build it and they will come – the density potential in this immediate area is extremely impressive. So much potential its exciting to see the core of the city continue to grow…

Very pleased to see all the new mixed-use development in Overtown.

Now there needs to be gentrification on the other side of the Brightline tracks. That neighborhood needs helps! That’s where affordable housing should be, if I was a developer I would definitely consider that area of Overtown. Yes if you ride thru that area it’s a dump but that doesn’t mean you can’t make it better.

Bone up on some history of Overtown before you spew ignorant gibberish.

Overtown has a long and rich history in being a dump.
