Now that’s how you do parking!

Definitely like the concept of parking and street level retail.

Purchased for $2,680,000 in 2013. Listed for $81,000,000. Not a bad investment.

Got to be a missprint. The land that the Aston Martin building will sit on is $100,000,000.

They would have to build something much bigger than this to justify spending $81,000,000 for that spot.

I believe the 81 million is after the hotel is built.

It’s gotta be a typo meaning $8.1 Mil, which is still turning a hefty ROI in just 6 year’s time.

Anonymous

Not a typo. Jim is spot on. For $81M you can have the building built for you, and close upon delivery. Decent price for 183 hotel rooms, office, retail, and parking.

I thought that ACE is the place?

Anonymous

It is! I’m obsessed with that Ace. I buy everything there from hardware to kitchen stuff. For my own selfish reasons, I hope this project falls through.

that ace is huge, only hardware store walking distance

“I hope this project falls through.”

If the owner of the ACE property wants to sell, there is nothing you can do about it because he’s going to sell whether Radisson Hotel buys it or not.

Anonymous

Radisson doesn’t “buy” hotels. They are an operating company, and sometimes tenant.

I’m a little bitter because that Ace is the only hardware store I can easily walk to! Still good for West Brickell.

projects in west Brickell move really slow…

It appears less than 18 levels in the renderings. Who is the architect?

Anonymous

You’re right. The drawing shows eighteen floors but that’s not what the rendering of the picture looks like.

Anonymous

The diagram explains it clearly. The extra height could be possible for a public benefit. Doesn’t say what it is though..

Anonymous

The benefit to the public is having a taller building, who doesnt love that?

Nice parking ratio, shame about the architecture. It looks like a budget hotel outside an airport of an ex-Bloc country than an upscale lifestyle brand.

NOOOOOOOOOOOooooooo!

I love Ace Hardware! Those guys are awesome.

All these hotels in Brickell an that’s great but I can’t help but wonder why? There are more hotels than office space with not that much to do in Brickell. I’m all for new development but can we get a museum, world class park, world class theater, bars, shops etc etc etc we can walk to from all these new hotels? Yes I know it’s Miami with plenty things to do but they are to spread out! Brickell needs that world class park with beautiful fountains and sculptures!

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You mean like the brand new art and science museum we got downtown?

what awful renderings!

Anonymous

Well they haven’t spent much on the architecture. Pure profit.

Not sure how they are putting 183 units there when the density that is allowed for hotels on that site only gets them to about 123 units (400 Hotel DU/acre).

Anonymous

Why did Radisson hired a Turkish company to design the hotel. there a plenty of architects in Florida that can do a good job.

Anonymous
