Related Group Buys Property Near Brightline’s MiamiCentral, Up To 80 Stories Can Be Built

A small development assemblage has been acquired by Related Group a block away from Virgin MiamiCentral.

Related paid a combined $8.77 million for two properties at 225 and 233 North Miami Ave. There were two separate sellers.

Up to 80 stories can be built on the property.

The site is just 15,000 square feet – likely too small to even build a parking garage.

Across the street, a 31-story project called Grand Station tower with 300 apartments is being built.

The Real Deal and the SFBJ first reported the purchase.

Maybe if we yell loud enough Mr. Perez will hear the message up in the mountains.

Mr. Perez has already built without parking. No need to yell.

How about a massive 80s story office tower. A glass office tower. Maybe two twin towers.

Two twin 80 story all glass office towers would be sweet!

Won’t happen
Too small of a lot for 2 towers.
I’d be happy with an 80 story topped by a spire

how would a twin tower work if they don’t even have room for a parking garage?

Two words, land assemblage. If the New World School of the Arts moves to a proper campus, it becomes very realistic.

Bruh, there ain’t demand for twin 80 storey office towers. Look at who’s signing all the leases: WeWork. Vacancy rates of office in downtown have remained steady with very little inventory added. The market won’t support twin 80 storey office buildings right now.

You all so stupid. Developers don’t build what people like and ask for in a forum. It’s about profit. Highest use for the land they bought. Get informed.

Fortunately it was acquired cheap enough for just that purpose. Could also be currency for a trade with MDC.

Unfortunately, it will be wasted with a blah looking building, I’m no expert but here is my guess: it will be 400-500 feet tall, rectangular, flat top, if lucky it will have some shiny glasses, but “art” covered walls are very popular in miami now. There will be a podium, even if parking is not required. It will be very different than the renderings and our non-leading leaders will Gail to get anything meaningful for our community out of the developers.
