The related/ architectonica bid is the worst. Bland. Looks like all thier other buildings.

Even if you did not have the images labeled it would still be easy to identify the related/architectonica renders.

Pie Art Tech blends so well with the area and with the Freedom Tower.

Pi art tech & trade center is a Beautiful tower structure. Looks perfect in the skyline. I love that night rendering of it. Looks very nice. That one has my vote.

Pi Art has the best crown; or rather the only one with a crown. Something Miami’s skyline desperately needs. We have enouh square boxes with the AC rooms on top of the buildings.
Pi Art will make the skyline finally distinguishable, finished. Besides, who needs another Architectonica boring building?

I think they’re all very appealing, except Related/Arquitectonica’s proposal. Forgettable and trite are the two words that come to mind to describe the design. Does anyone even work at Arquitectonica anymore or have they developed some kind of program that just produces variations on theme a la auto-pilot? Sad what’s happened to this once engaging and visionary firm.

Can we put the PiArt tower on Nader’s podium?

The PiArt proposal is definitely the most impressive and on a skyline-scale, it fits; however, I don’t see any renderings showing how it connects at the street level, which is by far the most critical design feature, given the sensitive site. There are also some inconsistencies between the renderings, primarily the linear skin elements; are they diagonal or vertical?

Nader’s proposal is beautiful until you get above the podium. They just plopped two condo towers on top of it. It’s basically the original museum design, with the towers an obvious after-thought.

the base for pi art tech is horrible but otherwise nice design and blends in well…. nader and oppenheim would have my vote…

not sure what the people at related and arquitectonica are doing… they rehash the same boring, uninspired design 50,000 times it is horrible and unfortunately the skyline keeps getting vandalized by their tasteless garbage.

I’m stuck between Pi Art Tech and the Art museum. Pi Art Tech reminds me of Barcelona’s Torre Agbar and that building has really defined that city since it has been built. I think this tower could do the same for Miami. Though the art museum does also look beautiful…

Where can I vote option: any but related

Was right about to post something to this effect (guess great minds think alike). All the options, besides Related’s, are incredible, but I fear that Related’s “influence” might tip the scales.

The Pi Art Tech tower is a work of beauty, but the parking platform and street level design are hideous. Something out of the 70’s at street level, with a 21st century tower atop. I have no idea what the architect was thinking about.

Nader has my vote. I’m not fond of the base of the Pi Art Tech Building

It doesn’t look the greatest in the pictures shown above. But in the actual bid proposal document, there are two other photos of the building that give a better impression of the pedestal (see page 11 and 36). It has a similar vibe to the north side of AAA, I think.

Pi Art Tech’s tower is significantly better than the two-towers-on-a-pedestal design Nader put forth. Just look at who else submitted a two-towers-on-a-pedestal design: Arquitectonica. And most people on this site are tired of Arquitectonica’s tower designs. PAT’s tower having WTC branding is a positive. So is the unique design. So is the fact that it’s a predominantly office-oriented tower as opposed to Nader’s condo towers.

Nader has the better podium. Pi Art Tech has the better building. That’s how I see it. I prefer the better building.

That said, I’m not really against any of the 4 designs. I wouldn’t mind seeing all of them built throughout downtown at some point. It’s just if I could only choose one, it’d be PAT.
