Miami Beckham United is in talks with Wes Edens over a possible stake in the soccer franchise, according to the Herald.
Qatar Sports Investments had been in negotiations with Beckham, but those talks have broken down, the Herald reported. A deal with the county to buy land for the stadium has been delayed while financing is finalized.
Edens is the chairman of Fortress Investment Group, a parent company of All Aboard Florida (which is not involved with the deal). He also is a a co-owner of the Milwaukee Bucks, which just broke ground on an arena that is receiving at least $250 million in taxpayer funding.
