Groundbreaking for Miami Worldcenter is less than a week away, according to a new report (see update below).
Developers announced plans for the groundbreaking to touring members of The International Council of Shopping Centers Next Generation National Conference, Miami Today is reporting. The tour was held on Monday, July 27, and members were told that groundbreaking would be held within nine days.
The paper is also reporting that commissioners gave final approval last week for a replatting of 11 acres where Worldcenter will be built.
Update: Representatives of Worldcenter say that Miami Today‘s report is incorrect. The project remains on track to break ground this quarter, but no groundbreaking date has been set.
