Resorts World Miami Submits Plans For Three Towers To FAA

Genting is requesting federal approval again to develop several towers at the Resorts World Miami property.

On January 23, the developer submitted plans to the Federal Aviation Administration for three towers on the land where the Miami Herald building once stood.

Each of the towers is proposed to rise 649 feet above sea level, or 642 feet above ground.

In 2013, the FAA granted approval for three towers of the same height to be built on the property, but the approval expired on January 10. Arquitectonica submitted the 2013 application on behalf of the developer.

Last year, Genting began the process of gaining approval for a marina behind the site, while also signing a deal with Art Miami for an annual show on the property.
