Revealed: 38-Story Residential Tower Planned In Edgewater

Plans have been submitted to Miami’s Urban Development Review Board for a residential tower in Edgewater.

The project is proposed to rise 38 stories, or 380 feet above sea level and include:

  • 324 residential units (average unit size 1,069 square feet)
  • 22,354 square feet of office use
  • 13,108 square feet of commercial use
  • park/plaza space in excess of 10,000 square feet in order to encourage pedestrian interaction
  • 515 parking spaces on levels 2, 3 4 and 5, with artistic garage screening component

A robust landscaping plan is planned, incorporating native trees that are appropriate for the area and can provide shade to pedestrians.

Arquitectonica is the architect.

Oak Row Equities and LNDMRK Development are partnering to develop the new tower.

The UDRB hearing is scheduled for November 15.

The board-formed concrete at the base, as opposed to stucco, is really nice

Make Edgewater Walkable

Now this is a quality non-waterfront project. Props to the developer for actually not building a garbage that spans the whole block and actually bringing life to Edgewater. More of this please not just bay front boxes with no retail.

Make edgewater walkable?.I work at an office building in edgewater and I see foot traffic all day long ,edgewater is very walkable already so it’s very obvious that you don’t know edgewater

“Walkable,” as in WANT to walk, having amenities at street level, and not having to dodge ankle-deep puddles and dog poop.

Walkable as in Want to walk, having amenities at street level?.there is retail almost on every block from Nw 14th street all the way to 36th st southbound and northbound
You can find any type of business on edgewater , all of them within walking distance

Now THIS is a public facing building – look at that beautiful public plaza. This is how you enrich the cityscape.

The Plaza on the west side is amazing!

It will border two relatively quiet streets, so will be a nice place to sit.

Only better than ninety percent of what they built in Edgewater in the last ten years.

Build it. This area is in desperate need of new ground-floor retail, and this is beautiful.

515 parking spaces. Edgewater is a mess. The street level experience is terrible. Such a shame.

Glad it continues to fill up but 29th st needs a turning signal light soon since this tower is being proposed and the tower with whole foods will be opening by early 2024.

Sub-9 foot finished ceilings if those numbers are right. But they’re not, it’s more like 32 stories.

Remember that other “beaut” from Arquitectonica with a mural that looks like something on a seedy kindergarten?

Love how this development is oriented towards the mainland and not towards the bay.

weak

ParkingHater

the cognitive dissonance to say “encourage pedestrian interaction” and “515 parking spaces” goes hard

ParkingHater hating on the wrong people.

For all the people unfamiliar with Miami 21 zoning… 515 parking spots is the minimum allowed by the zoning code in Edgewater. If you have an issue with that please take it up with your elected officials.

Wait.. we have elected officials in Miami?

TOP RENTAL BUILDING IN EDGEWATER AND LOVE THE LUXURY UNIT SIZING. THIS WILL COMPLETE WELL WITH ALL THE SHADOW INVENTORY IN THE NEARBY CONDOS AND STILL CATCH WATER VIEWS FROM CERTAIN UNITS ANS GREAT CITY VIEWS FROM OTHERS. LOVE IT!
