Revealed: One Brickell Riverfront Submitted To UDRB With 784 Units

Full plans for a massive twin-tower project near Brickell City Centre have just been fully revealed.

The name of the project is One Brickell Riverfront, plans show.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held at the site last month for the first tower, known as Lofty Brickell.

According to a letter sent from the developer to city planners, One Brickell Riverfront’s towers will rise 43 and 44 stories and include:

  • 784 residential units
  • ground floor retail
  • 13,170 square feet of office
  • 919 parking spaces

Miami’s Urban Development Review Board is scheduled to have a hearing on the proposal at a February 15 meeting.

Arquitectonica is the architect.

It looks about the same as Lofty Brickell.

Lofty didn’t have retail/restaurant on the waterfront. Hopefully this is lofty or lofty will mirror this concept. Miami needs a long strip of restaurants and shops along the water to bring in tourism and add more daytime activities to Brickell.

I am seeing people from all over the world talk about the archeological discovery on the Miami River! Miami is in the spotlight. We did an unbiased poll, and so far 90% of our followers want some type of museum and people are stunned.

Count me among the 10%. Build those towers!!!

I know! If the remains are as groundbreaking as they are hyped up to be, they definitely deserve a museum. Miami is one of the few major cities without a history museum, and this’ll give a reason other than trendy restaurants for tourists to visit Brickell.

there is a miami history museum downtown

Excited to see the river front connect.

Hopefully it leads to a UNESCO World Heritage Site. An ancient civilization 7,000 years old from the beginning of humanity? Unbelievable discovery reported by Miami Herald this week!

This is incredible for Miami and will bring more people from around the world. Plus Brickell needs a museum…

There should be a glass bottom floor with historical info to observe the history at ground level of Baccarat.

Agreed. Please don’t let this discovery stop the development of Related’s towers. Let’s incorporate the findings into the building.

It would add value to the development

If we’re talking about names, yes. However, Lofty has a better roof with a sloped crown. It should have been “Two Brickell Riverfront” and Lofty the former.

Miami Winning!

Gorgeous design! Love that it has waterfront restaurant/retail and connects the spectacular Miami River riverfront / greenway in Brickell. Hopefully we will see more enhancements like this along the popular and thriving Brickell riverfront from Riverside to Biscayne Bay. Miami winning!

LatinX is like “west” Brickell – people trying to control other people by putting labels on them. So sad!

West Brickell is what people call the residential community in Little Havana west of I95. It makes sense because Brickell is so close east of I95. Both areas are still underdeveloped but East Brickell is filling up fast.

No it’s not, unless you’re a real estate speculator.

Why does Miami have so many twin towers? Is that genetic?

Miami has to have the most twin towers in this hemisphere

Why have one when you can have two, and sell them out quickly! Brickell is one of the hottest condo markets in the country.

Love Brickell

There is a lot of land and knock-down buildings in Brickell that are affordable compared to what the condos sell for! There’s so many to be developed. Brickell will be double the size and beauty in 5 years.

Anonymous

There’s a ton of available land (lessening daily) and cost effectiveness

Wow, the metro mover flyover is incredibly gorgeous when designed well around it. From this angle, it looks like grand arches or a modern gateway. They should be nicknamed Miami’s Arches.

LOL what? It’s a hideous protrusion that discourages street-level interaction where it runs along, hence the giant concrete walls of this tower along it.

Underline

There’s literally the Underline underneath it? “discourages street-level interaction”? ummm, what?

BUDA

The underline is one of the most active pedestrian interaction points in Miami. It’sa HUGE success. Midtown and Edgewater would be lucky to have this type of commerce around the Metromover .

Lol

“A hideous protrusion,” said someone on the ground level who doesn’t wants people walking by.

Anonymous

Metrorail, not Metromover. If it was the latter, you would have homeless people under it.

BUDA

What’s the difference? STFU and build something.

Anonymous

A lot, including capacity, speed, and economics.

Anonymous

If you don’t know the difference then you got no right to support either. Get a clue before spouting tripe.

Anon

Whatever can be built with modern piles and quiet tracks… probably a monorail, and metromover as a back up. Have two tracks going both ways. The train maybe carrier more people but it’s loud and doesn’t look as modern.

Melo, the true giga chad

because of $$$! they copy and paste the blueprints and saves tons of money in engineering and architecture costs.

Anonimato

Because it’s cheap for the developer. It’s also a way for an otherwise super massive density tall wall to be more appealing to the eye when it’s cut in halves, thus creating two towers with an air corridor in between. Lol

cleavage baby!

Melo, the true giga chad

wait a minute…so they’re sticking an entire new building on the same lot? I hope this was disclosed to the lofty buyers. Two sides of the buildings will just be feet away from each other…

CONNECT THE RIVERWALK and add a bike path, definitely need to be able to bike around the circumstance of Brickell. I’d bike every day and burn off all the calories from the amazing dining options we have in Brickell!

Lofty is all Airbnb. Is the second tower also short term rental or more exclusive?

Miami Alchemist

Who cares? I’m happy they added riverfront restaurant and retail. This is proof that our comments are being heard. We know developers and the city get annoyed by constructive feedback, but we have good ideas. We wouldn’t push if we thought it was out of our ability. It’ll pay off and it’ll be more successful.

ParkingHater

919 parking spaces is pathetic. No vision for urbanizing the area. Booo

Remove Parking Under I95

If you’re concerned about wasteful parking, tell the city to remove the parking lot under I95. It looks like a heroine sex trafficking meeting spot. It’s not necessary and not safe! Public health concern…

A few people on this forum passionately tried to make the argument that that area was “beautiful and walkable” last week.

Anon

Anon politely think you missed the point of that entire discussion, we were saying it’s proximity to all the happening trendy spots in Brickell makes it walkable… and that it HAS potential to be walkable once it’s renovated with greenery, landscaping lighting and better pedestrian paths!!!

ParkingHater

I’m about to make your day. Part of the connecting Miami interchange is better utilizing the space under the highways! https://underdeckmiami.com/

And there are already successful examples of reclaiming ROWs like lot 11 here, bentway in toronto, underground in boston. Even the underline is in the same spirit of making use of a bridge/overpass for a linear park. And noise suppression has gotten good enough it’s actual nice.

XO Miami

Agree! This is what we envision for a prosperous Miami. It’s the only way Miami can grow and thrive. Revive our underpasses and streetscapes where the urban developments are booming. Let’s make our streetscapes as beautiful as the rest of Florida. We can do this xo

That’s Manhattan. The subways are canals.

Anon

It looks like there are two rising from the same podium with a gap in the middle. I hope this is Lofty, the old renderings had no restaurant or retain which is essential to the Miami river greenway concept, continuous dinning and pedestrian flow across the river.

Lol across from Brickell City Centre is not Brickell, huh? Tired of people trying to exclude people in the natural undisputed physical boundaries of Brickell. Get over it, your not special on one block versus another. Nunya, time for your nap!
