I worked for Saks Fifth Avenue in the men’s department up in DC when I was in College and I had a great time. Glad to see one opening up in Brickell.

Macy’s is a mid-range department store while Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue are more upscale, with Saks usually considered higher end. Also, Nordstrom is coming to Downtown Miami?

It is for interviewing potential employees for the Brickell City Centre store, obviously.

Actually, Brickell was better in the 50’s.

I actually agree. If you think about it, development in Downtown Miami proper within the MacArthur Causeway, Miami River, Biscayne Bay, and Interstate 95 boundaries could have been much better. Brickell had a certain charm to it, which even Coconut Grove doesn’t have anymore. Sure it experienced its share of urban decay, but I bet gentrification would have fixed it rather than reinventing the wheel and replacing everything with scattered skyscrapers more appropriate north of the river.
