Site Redesigned For Speed, New Features

You are looking at The Next Miami’s rebuilt site, which brings many enhancements:

  • Speed – better backend coding is expected to bring faster page load times, and additional improvements are planned.
  • Design – a cleaner design with larger and clearer fonts will allow for better readability.
  • Trending – a highly accurate count of the most popular stories by day, week and month is now available by pressing the Trending button.
  • Search – search functionality is much better.

We know that many of Miami’s brightest minds are reading, and will continue working to improve design and functionality.

this is miami get used to it. we take plenty of cuban coffee breaks and come in late and leave early and we make as much money as people in boston.

The average salary is 20k higher in Boston than Miami and the spread increases more (in the negative) if you factor in the rest of Dade County. In reality, Miami is one of the lowest paid major metros in the United States. There’s no highly diversified and skilled workforce like in Boston. In terms of GDP, metro Boston earns nearly a billion more per year than all of South Florida combined, of which the city of Miami only makes up 13.36% of the population. It would appear that not keeping a disciplined work schedule and taking plenty of breaks directly impacts cash flow. Who would have guessed?

I would say looks nice overall. Since we’re talking about it, the logos on the site’s headers and footers are not the right resolution. Spacing is also a bit off on the homepage.

Lots more white space. Not sure if on purpose or doesn’t like my machine.

Yeah the fact that we only want more articles fro you means we love what you offer so keep it up..suggestion.. maybe have sections for Miami, Miami Beach, West Dade(Doral, Kendall, etc.), Gables, North Dade(Aventura, NMB, etc.), and South Dade. This way you’ll have a lot more ground to cover for new stories and updates… You can hire me too!

Still wont make the up and down votes separate. They cancel out each other. No one knows how many up voted and how many down. So silly.

Is everyone missing the point that this is an April Fools Joke?

How is a blank white website a new design? Nobody here should be allowed to comment on another building’s design, ever. Oy vey.

The biggest April Fools joke is the picture of the MacArthur Causeway as it relates to “speed.”

This new design is really IMPOVERISHED, I think we need something more LEMON-y!
