Site Work Permit Issued At 44-Story Lofty Brickell Site

Miami’s Building Department has just issued a site work permit for the Lofty Brickell property.

The permit was approved on August 4, and issued on August 7, records show.

According to the permit, $5 million worth of work is being done, in the excavation/piles/site and soil improvement category.

Keller North America is listed as the contractor.

A permit for vertical construction was applied for in October 2022, and is still in the approval process. Americaribe-Moriarty JV is the contractor.

Lofty is planned to include 362 units. As of June, the project was said to be over 92% sold

The Brickell area at the end of the Underline has the potential to capture the essence of Manhattan’s Highline termination at Hudson Yards. Just as the linear park seamlessly meets the water in New York, this Miami space could elegantly fuse a linear park with a stunning waterfront architectural statement, much like the Hive and Shed. It’s on track to become an exciting and captivating addition to Miami’s landscape.

You meant to say the beginning of the underline

I think the end is better and more prestigious. This is the final destination on the water, a reflecting point, a climactic pinnacle experience.

“a climactic pinnacle experience”…where’s the box of Kleenex?

I love it when Brickell is compared to NYC – the whole city, not a section of it. Cause that’s what Miami is now to outsiders, Brickell Wynwood and the Beach and the rest of it is suburbs.

Considering that we’ve called this part Phase I since the beginning, it makes a lot of sense to call it the beginning. Especially as the subsequent phases are being built out before our eyes.

Wouldn’t necessarily say stunning… kinda just blends in with BCC

Would love to see a large part, if not the entire span of Brickell, blend together with the BCC.

At least it’s not a box, and has a bit of slope to the roof.

The slope looks fake in the render like it was drawn afterwards with a microsoft Paint brush.

Amazing river walk interaction, lots of high-ceiling commercial space overlooking promenade, lush landscaping and harmonious connection with the Underline! A + Lofty!!

best of luck to anyone buying a Harvey Hernandez development. We all saw how well the condo he built with the automated garage panned out

Old renders had 2 buildings – wonder if this single tower is what actually gets built…

Lol chat bot / spamming to stop American growth of Brickell. It’s clearly on track to be the greatest American city and known as the jewel of Miami. Towers like this are the dream – go back to your country and stop trying to stop us from improving!

if you can’t see water you’re not in brickell

this is a great entry point from brickell across the street from this is little havana

New Brickell Waterfront

It’s an entry point for manatees, directly on the water, across from Brickell’s new yacht docks and River District public project. Historic Little Havana is just west of 95, featuring the vibrant Calle Ocho neighborhood center, right after Riverside, a great spot for a potential Trader Joe’s or shopping plaza and new developments along the Miami River Walk.

Historic Little Havana is just across from I-95? No its not, the historic part is by Domino park which is another 10 blocks west of the highway. Nice try trying to keep Little Havana Little and poor.
