Miami’s Building Department has just issued site work permits for the property where Inter Miami’s stadium is planned.
Two separate permits were issued in the past few weeks.
The first was issued on July 14. It is for work estimated to be valued at $30,759,715, in the excavation/piles/site and soil improvement category.
The second permit issued on July 25 is for work estimated to be valued at $5,240,284 – also in the excavation/piles/site and soil improvement category, but for an adjacent address.
Downrite Engineering is listed as the contractor.
Demolition and tree permits for the property are still in the review process and are not yet issued, records show.
In June, Jorge Mas, the managing owner of Inter Miami, said that a green light to begin work was expected “any day now,” with work expected to begin within weeks.
Summer or early fall of 2025 is being targeted as the opening date for the new stadium, Mas said.
