Sneak Peek: Downtown Miami’s Six-Story Silverspot Cinema, Where Parking Will Be Offered

Downtown Miami’s Silverspot Cinema has unveiled a website, ahead of opening.

The six-story theater will include 16 screens, with reclining leather seats. Food and drinks can be ordered through an app and delivered to your seat.

Also being built is a private 36-seat auditorium called The Spot, with a full bar.

Parking will be offered across the street at the Met 3 garage, and ticket validation for moviegoers will be offered, according to Silverspot’s website. There will also be valet parking.

The area can more than afford it for the convenience.

Whew, I was worried for a minute I’d have to schlep it on the Metromover.

Me too… especially when I can conveniently catch the Metrorail near my house and transfer to the Metromover downtown.

Here is my 2 cents. I was really looking forward to CMX, but at $53.50 for 2 tickets plus popcorn and soda, you are looking close to $75 bucks! Now I am not a cheap person and I can afford to live in Brickell but to pay this much for a movie that may suck or it may not is just too much for me. And now Silverspot looks like it will be a twin version of CMX. I will stick to AMC – Looking forward to the new one being build by the river.

I guess you prefer the Chinese-owned AMC. I, for one, will not support them, and Silvers pot is a way better product anyway.

You’d be surprised to learn that a lot of the entertainment finance firms are Chinese owned/partnered these days…

What exactly is your point? Is it geopolitical? You don’t like a Chinese owned business and you prefer a Venezuelan theater instead? They are both communist countries you know. Or are you trying to point out the fact you can afford a luxury theater? I love movies and my wife and I catch one or two each month, some are good some are bad, I make over 6 figures per year and live in a high rise in Brickell but I still will not pay $75 to $150 bucks each month for this. The Landmark at Merrick Park and the new AMC by the river will suit us just fine.

Who pays that much for a movie? Geeze, money or not, no one wants to waste it!

Nobody is saying that is mandatory to go to an expensive Movie theater.
Some people will go, others wont.

Already open!

Looks just like CMX at Brickell City Center. I think I’d rather go there when I want to spend a ton of money to hear a bunch of animals crunching and munching on their popcorn.

Just opened! Amazing experience at a much lower price than most VIP theaters. At $17 the ticket. Food is awesome, service is great. Seats are so comfy and fully reclinable. Highly recommended.

I guess the experience is equal parts “movie going” and “parking”.

Take the mover or walk as often as you can! Each of us can make a difference…

Won’t irritating noise be going on in the auditorium while people are trying to watch a movie?
