St. Regis Sunny Isles Converts To Contract, Will Have Photovoltaic Glass

The St. Regis Residences, Sunny Isles Beach is now converting reservations into contracts, developers announced in a press release last month.

The twin-tower development has taken in nearly $750 million in reservations in less than six months, the release said.

There will be two 62-story towers, with each rising 750 feet, making them the tallest in Sunny Isles.

A total of 336 residential units are planned, according to a utilities agreement.

Marketing material shows that the towers will have photovoltaic glass installed on the west facade.

There will be 53,372 square feet of photovoltaic glass installed.

That is expected to be enough to generate 530,000 kilowatt hours from the sun per year, while also reducing infrared radiation.

PV Glass technology enables the building to drastically improve its energy efficiency, decrease operation and maintenance costs, and reduce carbon footprint, the marketing material states.

Mt favorite part about Sunny Isles is the HUGE DARK shadows that cover the beach after about 1 or 2 pm for the remainder of the day. #LMAO

City of Sunny Isles should consider changing the name to Shady Isles. Towers are diminishing the beach enjoyment for sun lovers.

Nearly the entire motel row is towers now, contrasting with Haulover and Golden Beach.

Wouldn’t the salt in the air screw up all the solar panels fast?

At that point the builder will be out of the picture and it’ll be an Association issue. The builder only uses it as a marketing tool to move units.

I don’t understand why yall don’t like these towers? Yall bitch about boxes with no crown and stucco blank walls. These are glass with a crown but I haven’t seen anything but hate for them.

More twin towers like this in Edgewater please, instead of two boxes making a box hole in between.

Looks great, but they should have included a landscape strip between the 4 lane entrance and exit lanes, because almost always on sloped curves, people cross the divider lines.
