Stormwater Permit In Process At Biscayne Boulevard Site Where 42-Story Tower Planned

Plans have been submitted to Miami-Dade’s Regulatory and Economic Resources Department for stormwater improvements at an Edgewater development site.

Langan Engineering and Environmental Services wrote in a letter attached to the submittal that it had been retained to process permits for the proposed drainage improvements for the 1775 Biscayne Blvd project.

The proposed development will consist of a 42-story building with a parking garage, amenities, residential, and retail space, Langan wrote in the May 3 letter.

A construction permit to build a fence on the property was also applied for this month, Miami Building Department records show.

In 2017, plans for a 53-story tower called V Tower were submitted to Miami planners.

In 2022, Pennsylvania developer LCOR purchased the property, and said it would break ground in early 2024 on a 40-story apartment tower.
