Swire: Nothing To Add To CEO Comments On Miami Condo Sales

Swire Properties is not elaborating on comments made by their CEO earlier this month.

On August 17, CEO Guy Bradley told analysts in Hong Kong that “We’re probably the only guys selling any [condo] stock” in Miami, after the company sold 19 Brickell City Centre units from February to August 2017.

Other local developers, including those behind Brickell Flatiron and Paramount, take issue with Bradley’s statement.

Brickell Flatiron sold at least 48 units in 2017, the developer recently told TNM.

Paramount Miami Worldcenter has been selling 8-10 units per month this year, brokers said this week.

When reached for comment, Swire declined to explain. In a statement released to The Next Miami, the company said that “at this time we have nothing further to add to Mr. Bradley’s comments.”

I love this mall. Once the new developments in the area start getting completed, it will get more busy, who wants this mall to be crowded?

It depends on the day and time, i’ve seen it almost empty and also packed various days and times during the week.

LOL good one.

It needs some affordable restaurants. Maybe include a food court like you see in all the malls to increase traffic.

Is that as busy as it gets?

What’s keeping you from going there and finding out yourself?

Technically he’s correct. Who else has finished condos in stock ready to sell?

Agreed.

Mr. Bernake
Mr. Bernake

His remarks only serve to undermine his company’s interest in the Miami condo market and economy by implying stagnancy.

Look, he’s overseas trying to gin up business for his company. What do we say here in the U.S…oh yeah, “don’t believe the hype!”

Technically everyone else, sans BH, is selling options to buy. BCC only ones ACTUALLY selling.

Everything about his comments was wrong!

Only one of these companies is required to disclose the number of completed sales by law and it is the one with the low number. Hmmm, makes you think…

The picture above is glaringly clear as to the problem at BCC. It’s a cold, not human friendly design with very awkward empty spaces. Not a very pleasant shopping experience.

Everything is super expensive.

Swire should change the person responsible for sales and bring new energy to the place.

The problem it’s not the selling team. The issue it’s the over priced square footage for all units within BCC.
