Target Is Nearly Ready To Open In South Beach, Will Include Starbucks & CVS

A mini-sized Target store will soon open in South Beach.

The five story building that will house it is called BLVD at Lenox, and is now nearing completion. Target will be located on the second floor.

The new Target will be approximately 32,900 square feet. By comparison, the Midtown Miami Target is around four times the size at 141,114 square feet, while the Publix across the street is 44,586 square feet.

A Starbucks Coffee and CVS Pharmacy will be inside the new South Beach store. Food and grocery items will also be sold, along with healthcare and beauty, clothing and tech.

BLVD at Lenox will have have separate retail at the ground floor, including a Suntrust Bank. The Target will be on the second floor, with a salon on level three along with parking on levels three, four and five.

In total, 67,900 square feet of retail and 225 parking spaces are planned.

Completion of the building is scheduled for August.

Me neither. If Etsy has a storefront, it would be Trader Joe’s.

Thank you. Let the lemmings follow their emotion-driven trendy mandates, without reason, because thinking and reasoning is so passe. Just imagine the Instagram flood of dumb selfies on “TJ’s” opening day -(I thought they were talking about tj Maxx, which is across the street for several years, and were lamenting how long it took, back then. Lol. I’m not hip). I look forward to Trader Joe’s, so there are less idiots at “the Whole”.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The traffic is going to get worse on 5th street.

5 Street needs a road diet. It has far too much capacity. How about a light rail line across 5 street, the MacArthur causeway, up N Miami Ave through wynwood and into the design district.

Imagine the flood of new vagrants and miscreants that will shuttle onto the beach, at will and in comfort, yes!

the project only has 225 parking spaces. I don’t think it will have that much of an effect.

“The traffic is going to get worse on 5th street.”

Well, if that’s going to bother you, then, don’t go.

In their quest for more tax revenue the City of Miami Beach is going to further kill off mom and pop retail and invite more traffic onto the Beach.

“In their quest for more tax revenue the City of Miami Beach is going to further kill off mom and pop retail and invite more traffic onto the Beach.”

I wonder what kind of mindset do people like you have to come up with shit like this?
