The Crosby Miami: New Renderings Released Of Planned 33-Story Tower

Brokers marketing The Crosby Miami have released additional renderings of the proposed 33-story tower.

The project is scheduled to break ground in the first quarter of 2023.

It will include a total of 450 fully finished and furnished condo units, which owners will be permitted to rent on Airbnb and other short-term platforms.

There won’t be any parking garage built, but each owner at The Crosby will have access to one space at a Miami Worldcenter garage.

CFE is the architect.

Related Group and Merrimac Ventures are the developers.

Where will the cleaning crews park when 30 units turn over on a Sunday? They all going to have to check in at the front desk?

This is going to have high HOAs to deal with that.

Classic modern miami building ….fancy “looking” building with nice interior design – but also with tiny sq footage, no dedicated parking garage, no swimming, no tennis, sound of freight train, will be full of 23 year olds and the smell of weed and trash within 1.5 yrs from all the college airbnb’ers

“will be full of 23 year olds and the smell of weed and trash within 1.5 yrs from all the college airbnb’ers”

That means this building will stay full of renters.

Nothing wrong with that if you’re an investor. Crosby will be in the middle of entertainment complex. Perfect place to stay.

A lot of building in MWC will no parking. There is a pool on the roof. Who the hell wants tennis?

Jacko

Apparently this condo has sold 70% in first 4 weeks.

All this short term rentals so close to each other will be a problem…as an owner in MWC I’m starting to get worried. Everything being built in this area is short term.

Anonymous

Rent yours short term too! Why build a hotel when you can have strangers operate one in their building?!

Anonymous

We can’t rent for less then 30 days, except for the developer, he does whatever he wants. You live, you learn.

By owner in MWC do you mean Paramount?
Has the Building not been converted over to the owners yet?
You don’t have a Condo association board yet?
Because once you do have a board, owners can vote to change the rules so that everyone can have short term rentals

Anonymous

Yes Paramount. Yes, it was converted at the end of last year, the big problem we have is that the developer kept over 100 units and he manages them as he pleases. He runs the game and has the management company on his side.

Anonymous

It’s all the developer’s money, so…..

Anonymous

No it is not, he took our money to be able to secure the completion of the building with lies (false expectations at the very least) and didn’t deliver. If he truly had the money he should had done a hotel or a rental business or tell the people the true concept of what he was selling. This is run like mafia, a problem all over Miami, and yes, I bet you he thinks exactly like you, that it is his money, but the end of this ain’t written yet.

^ So, developers DON’T take out millions of dollar loans to construct their projects?

Not Anonymous

Judging by the looks of the building, it wont attract short-term renters, and more permanent tenants.

Anonymous

I think it will attract short-term renters that dont want to pay the premium rates for the other high rise condos. Some just want a place to get to FXX arena for couple nights

Anonymous

Yet Paramount does, so with that logic and even Opera Tower looking better than this box, it’ll be a glorifed flophouse.

Anonymous

Paramount will never be able to enjoy daily or weekly rentals. 25% of Paramount is vacant from people trying to cash out. Haven’t even been lived in.

Are their any plans on how these towers will interact with the freight line that runs next to them. Will they just be blocked off with bushes.

Azarius

😂🤣😂 Exactly

Anonymous

The developer will use passing vandalized freight cars scarred in graffiti as “art in public places” credit.

I think it’s insane that a building with 450 apartments doesn’t have a garage.

Anonymous

like a block away, 501 First Residences will not have parking either….and the two 11 Towers, very close as well will not have parking. Although for the 11 Towers they haven’t even put a single cinder block in place even though their “sales” are braking record.

Anonymous

501 is sold out and Crosby over 50% sold in 3 weeks!
The LRT going to SB will be ready in 2026. Too much going on in the area.

Anonymous

What LRT? I thought the Monorail proposal died and everyone and their mom will complain on here about another transit system when in reality they want Metromover only because it’s free and they don’t think they will have to pay for it as an external cost.

Anonymous

No one thinks the Metromover when it’s extended will be free to ride on. It’s just some people think that it doesn’t make sense to spend money on a totally different kind of transit system that you’ll need you to transfer to when we already have one that’s been in service for over thirty years.

Not all of us are addicted to our cars. Many of us live in this area because of its walkability.

Anonymous

Some of us are addicted to jobs, food, making a living, driving to doctor appointments, visiting relatives…. cars come in real handy for that. Can’t be 16 forever.

Anonymous

^ I know some extremely good looking selfish chicks who wouldn’t date me because I didn’t have a car.

But I look good because I walk to everywhere I’m going!

Anonymous

Most of the hotels in MWC won’t have parking. Less congestion.

Anonymous

A condo with parking would add another 50k-75k to the cost per unit. If you have a car, go find another place. Simple!

Anonymous

Why do you need a car when everything is within walking or metromover distance?

Anonymous

When transit doesn’t take you to your job in Doral.

Anonymous

I think it’s insane for a city manager to ask for greater parking ratios when their former job was CEO of the parking authority.

Jacko

with gas prices skyrocketing, there will be less people wanting to drive.

Anonymous

Seems like such a short tower for that area, we need taller infill now that the city has several supertalls in the making

Anonymous

We need better architecture, especially when the most upcoming supertall is stacked boxes with no crown, spire, or antenna.

Anonymous

Instead of allways telling us what we need, why don”t you just spend your money and build the kind of supertall building with the architecture you envision yourself?

Anonymous

That is dated, Classically driven design. Crowns and spires, get real.

Anonymous

crowns, spires, antennas…… all gimmicky crap from nearly a century ago. Want gargoyles too?

Not Anonymous

It is like that because they want to maximize the space they have.

Looks nice inside! It will sell out fast at these prices.

Anonymous

All of these new massive buildings and still no flowing, reliable mass transit transportation (train) what are they waiting for? The mover goes in a square and the other train is not very easy accessible from the core of the city. Beach>downtown-midtown>airport>Hospital that’s when Miami will flow and become a real walkable city without relying on cars and parking for everything.

Anonymous

650k for 2b 2b. Where will you find a new condo in today’s market downtown Miami?

Anonymous

The inside of Crosby looks great! Its just a smaller version of all the other big towers coming to the MWC. This area will be the next Brickell

Anonymous

That’s nice.

Anonymous

So many engineers and urban planners in the comments. Not every xondo is going to be better than the next one. Each one serves its purpose. If there wasn’t a need for type of building, then why is it selling out so fast.

Anonymous

No parking is a good thing. That’s what MWC is about. A urban center with limited congestion. Everything is walkable….

Azarius

I love what this area is going to become. I believe it’ll be bigger and better than Brickell because it has more to offer. From the museums art centers direct access to Wynwood plus better parks. Ijs

Anonymous

How is it directly accessed to Wynwood?
Metromover hasn’t even started its expansion yet.

Anonymous

And the trolley only goes up and down Biscayne. Too far to walk to Wynwood

Anonymous

Maybe if there was better streetscape (trees, underground utility poles, etc.) and development connecting Edgewater to Wynwood, it would be a walkable. Metromover right over the streets will ruin it and render the same box towers where the only viable thing to put at Metromover level is… parking pedestals.

That’s what I told that last hooker, “maybe if you were 22 years old, pretty, and weighed about 130lbs” you would be worth the money you’re asking for.

But hey, like the saying goes – You can’t always get what you want!
