Three new-construction Miami Beach hotels are opening (or have already opened) this week and next week, adding nearly 500 rooms. They include:
Hyatt Centric, a 105-room hotel at 1600 Collins Avenue. Housed in a 10-story glass tower designed by Kobi Karp and developed by Robert Finvarb, it is the only Hyatt in South Beach.
AC Hotel by Marriott, across from the recently opened Marriott Edition. Also designed by Kobi Karp and built by Finvarb, 150 rooms are available beginning on Monday night.
Aloft Hotel South Beach, a sister property to the W Hotel, which is across Collins Avenue. Designed by ADD Inc as a new tower along with a renovation of the historic Ankara Motel, it will include 235 rooms. Opening is set for June 11.
Through April of this year, Miami has had the highest occupancy and room rates of any hotel market in the nation, including New York.
