Tibor Hollo filed a lawsuit to evict the Venezuelan Consulate from his property in Brickell, and a Miami court decided in his favor.
A ruling issued on October 30 gave Hollo possession of the property, court records show.
Hollo’s TWJ 1101 LLC filed the lawsuit in August.
According to the lawsuit, Venezuela failed to pay rent from February 1 through August and owed $164,000 in back rent. The consulate had abandoned the property before August, the suit stated.
Another eviction lawsuit had been filed by Hollo in 2018, but was apparently settled, as the consulate remained in the property and the lawsuit was closed. This time, the consulate appears to be closed.
