Now THIS is a stunner. Imagine if something of this quality were rising on the Baccarat site.

This design only makes sense on a waterfront with the roof detail that yearns to the sea with the epic rickenbacker and southern bay view.

Building a 66-story tower on an island where hurricanes are only getting bigger and stronger – great idea!!

Why not keep the old Mandarín , it’s cute and not to tall and other than the small swimming pool that is the size of a bathtub, the rest is in good condition
They should use the area behind it, where the conference rooms are and still built the 2 other towers!

The current building is actually more unique and recognizable with it’s curved design and slanted roof. Odd choice for demolition just like the new Mariposa site proposal for wrecking modern buildings vs the 4 ambassadors.

There is a strong argument to be made that the 800+ ft tall Mandarin Oriental Residences by Kohn Pederson Fox will be more recognizable than than the 295ft Hotel that was built 25 years ago by NBWW.

Was comparing the smaller new tower in the back.

The owner of the property has decided that keeping the old dated Mandarin hotel is not the highest and best use for their property.

The engineering of those massive balconies is very impressive.

The current Mandarin is extremely outdated looking.
