A hotel is planned near Brickell, west of I-95.

Tru by Hilton Brickell is proposed to include 96 hotel rooms, according to a filing with the county’s water and sewer department.

An two-story, 16-unit apartment building built in 1951 will be demolished.

Doral’s IRAS Group is the developer.

No need to coin anything. It has a name. It’s called The Roads. See all the blue signs in the traffic circles.

All the limited service hotels coming into West Brickell you’ve got to wonder why this location?

It makes perfect sense. The expensive real estate is taken by the Four Seasons, Mandrin Oriental, W, JW Marriott, and Conrad.

In the render, the hotel seems to have a big parking area in front. I hope that is not the case. None of the buildings in this section of Coral Way have parking areas and I hope the hotel will be built near the street and conform to Miami 21 rules.

This location is because the cost of land …… unaffordable in the center of Brickell or Downtown …….

Sad, they’re replacing this cute building for a cheap airport motel. That angled wall crap is so 2002.

I agree, very nice building, there’s uglier stuff along Coral Way that I wouldnt mind tearing down over this
