Three companies recently signed leases to open offices in downtown Miami, adding to the growing number of professionals who work in the area:
Fast growing Silversea Cruises is moving their headquarters to Met 2 from downtown Fort Lauderdale with 150 workers. The luxury cruise line announced this month that their largest ship, Silver Muse, is under construction and will enter service in spring of 2017.
Uber signed a lease last week to occupy 9,333 square feet at at Brickell City Tower, across from Brickell City Centre (that is enough space to accommodate at least 50 employees). The company also announced a plan this week to recruit 10,000 new drivers in Miami.
Twitter opened a Latin America headquarters at Espirito Santo Plaza on Brickell Avenue this month. The office opened with just six employees, but the company has big growth plans in Latin America and expects to expand.
