Two-Story Real Madrid Cafe Is Opening At Met Square

Real Madrid is opening a 12,000-square-foot, two-story cafe at Met Square.

The space will include 4,000 square feet on the ground level and 8,000 square feet on the second level on the southeast corner of Met Square overlooking the historic Indian Circle, according to The Real Deal.

There will be a bar, a merchandise store and a VIP lounge

Opening is set for early 2018.

General contractor Suffolk Construction recently topped off the 391-unit Avant at Met Square apartment tower above the proposed cafe. The lower levels will also include a Silverspot Cinema, restaurants and retail.

….overlooking the Miami Circle. Yeah, right, until the Aston Martin tower goes up and the view is wiped out. Enjoy it for the time being.

Read it again, it says overlooking the Indian Circle… that a circle on the ground floor of the building in honor of the Indian relics that was found on site.

I don’t mind it. Certainly more interesting to look at than many others.

Interesting, I had no idea that Real Madrid had cafes. The one in Dubai looks rather nice, wonder if they will show their games live.

Time to build a Barka cafe so all of the fake “Football Fans” in Miami can go hide in their two respective caves and whack off to Messi and Ronaldo all day.

It’s a giant cereal box cluttered with chunky rectangles and blank walls on the sides. What were the architects thinking?

I agree with you. The building lacks on creativity, originality, and design; but hopefully they contribute with a variety of new retail, and hopefully a nice little plaza in between Met 1 and Met Square.

Since you are such a gifted developer with endless reserves and vision, it would only be reasonable for you to buy land, hire the starchitect of your choice, submit yourself to all the red tape and logistics and produce something utterly remarkable. Critics and naysayers are a dime a freaking dozen. How easy it is to tear down the efforts of other all the while contributing nothing.

You can have all the time and money in the world, and still commission crap. For example, look at CityCenterDC and Pacific Park. It doesn’t take an architect to know what looks like crap.
