UDRB Votes To Approve New Towers With 2,043 Apartments At Miami Worldcenter

Miami’s Urban Development Review Board voted last month to approve a proposal for multiple new towers at Miami Worldcenter.

The proposal includes three new towers at the Miami World Tower site, where a 53-story tower is nearing completion, bringing the total to four on the property.

Two of the three new towers are proposed to rise 68 stories each, with a shorter one at 25 stories.

The UDRB vote came with the following recommendation:

  • Reduce the project’s massing by substituting one L-shaped building in place of the two buildings presented.

The three new towers are proposed to include 2,043 multifamily residential units, 2,944 square feet commercial space, and 807 parking spaces. The tower now under construction will have 557 apartments, bringing the total residential unit count to 2,600.

Nichols is the architect.

Lalezarian is the developer.

Squeezing every penny of land costs out of this site.

Kitty W is jealous of Park West’s epic rise

2043 new apartments? How can that be? Two 68 stores towers and one 25 story. Each tall tower would have to have over 800 units and the small tower 400. I don’t see how that’s possible.
Unless they are micro units.

There are four towers. Three tall – one small.

With the 4th tower it says 2600 units.

Instead of “Reduce the project’s massing by substituting one L-shaped building in place of the two buildings presented.” it should be change the box with wavy balconies that is identical to one already built, so as to not be construed to allow the developer to change the middle building’s decent design for something inferior. Honestly, I don’t know what’s going on in the UDRB’s minds.

They can only issue advisory opinions.

The L shape recommendation by the UDRB might change this design for the worse…the building will look too massive..

Miami politicians are so full of sh*t. They love talking about “affordable housing” yet everything that gets built in this city is for millionaires. Such hypocrites.

Affordable housing does not belong in this part of the city. Take your self-righteous ass and build it yourself.

Plenty of affordable housing further from the city center

There is no such thing as affordable housing in Park West…all you will ever see are luxury super condos, it was designed this way for a good reason 😊

@Chavely…be careful what you wish for❗️If criminals break into your home and steal your $1.5 million Rolex Antimagnetique watch or swipe your $3 million McLaren, you gonna be on here screaming bloody murder. There is a reason we have little to no crime 🙄

We’re way better than Dubai. Our economy won’t rely on slave labour.
