Another apartment tower will soon begin construction in the Omni area.
The 29-story Uni tower held a groundbreaking ceremony in August, but actual construction is expected to begin in November.
Uni will include:
252 rental apartments
38,307 square feet of office on the top four floors
224 parking spaces
4,500 square feet commercial spacw
The tower will top off at 360 feet.
Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson attended the ceremony for Uni in August, according to the Herald.
Uni is among the first projects in Miami-Dade to take advantage of the tax benefits of being in Opportunity Zone. The Omni CRA is also giving a tax rebate and a grant in exchange for offering a portion of units to those with low incomes.
