The developer of Upland Park has signed a deal for Miami-Dade to supply water and sewer to the project.
Upland Park Phase I LLC completed the agreements on May 25.
According to the agreements, 531 apartments will be built in Upland Park’s North (East) plat, while 444 apartment will be built in Upland Park’s North (West) plat. The combined apartment count under the agreements is 975.
The $1b transit-oriented development planned near the Dolphin Mall will be “the first truly viable alternative to automobile commuting,” according to the project website.
It will be integrated with the upcoming east-west transit corridor, and located adjacent to the Dolphin rapid transit station.
The walkable neighborhood will include built-in traffic solutions, along with resiliency features.
The full project is planned to include:
- 1,700+ new mid-rise and garden residences
- 140,000 square feet of retail space
- 427,000 square feet of commercial space
- 126-room hotel
- office space
- charter school
