Utilities Agreement Signed To Allow For Micro Units At Wynwood 25

The developers of the Wynwood 25 project have signed a deal to bring water and sewer to the site, paving the way for construction to begin this summer.

EE 215 NW 24 Owner LLC signed the agreement this month. According to the deal, the following will be built:

  • 289 apartments
  • 29,117 square feet of retail
  • 11,544 square feet of full service restaurant
  • 53,105 square feet of office

The project includes micro-apartments as small as 400 square feet, priced from $1400 per month. Construction is expected to begin in July.

East End Capital and Related Group are the developers.

Thought the whole point of micro-apartments was to appeal to young professionals who might be priced out of “regular” apartments in the neighborhood. Rates for studio and even single bedroom apartments in nearby Edgewater, while going up, are more or less around that number and offer considerable more elbow room. Hmm…

They will have to adjust prices to the “current market”.. same as everyone else.

I’m sure the prices will be around $1000 or 1100 after a couple of months once its completed.

It’s nice. I miss classic modernism. This weird Scandi-mod junk is never well done.

Why is the classic studio apartment being rebranded so embarrassingly? How are these different from the studios I lived in on South Beach, except that almost certainly they will be poorly laid out and have horrible light like every single apartment built after 1989 in Miami.

“How are these different from the studios I lived in on South Beach”

Um, for one thing, these are more modern……

Wow really????

I’ll be more specific for the spergs: What is the difference between a studio and a “micro unit”?

Uh, what?

I’ll reiterate for the incredibly asinine. These micro units will be more modern compared to what you used to live in on South Beach. The amenities in the units in this building will far surpass the units in the studios in the building you lived in on South Beach.

Remember now, you’re the one who asked “How are these different from the studios I lived in on South Beach.”
