Vertical Construction Begins At Wynwood 25 Micro-Unit Project

Wynwood 25 is the first big mixed-use project to begin construction in Wynwood, and it is now going vertical.

It will pack in 289 extra small apartments called micro-units, with sizes ranging from 400 square feet to 1,200 square feet and prices starting at $1,400 per month. There will also be 31,000 square feet of ground floor retail space and 340 parking spaces.

Developers East End Capital and Related Group broke ground on the development over the summer with a $57.9 million construction loan, taking advantage of new zoning in the area.

Kobi Karp is the project architect.

I can’t wait to see the faux graffiti ‘art work’ on the interior spaces as an ‘homage’ to the ‘vibe’ of the neighborhood.

How exactly is any graffiti “faux”, is it not still handmade art? Would it not be a commissioned piece, similar to a significant portion of the art in Wynwood?

Graffiti is degenerate art.

Yeah, the thrill of scribbling on something not yours and causing millions in property damage is talent.

A can of spray causes millions in property damage?

I’ve see people make millions off of these poor graffiti painters… way more than their art causes harm for sure.

Apart from spray paint, etching, sticker slaps, and having to remove stuff over and over again, yes. The only reason people make millions is from toxic pop culture being on their side.

Look, you can dump on these graffiti artist all you want. The question was about your artistic abilities and do you also have anything that could be put on display in Wynnwood to?

What does his abilities have to do with leftist degenerates destroying property ?

Starting at $3.50 a month is quite ambitious.

agreed would rather live in Downtown for that price.

Anonymous

Same.

Anonymous

why are they trying to charge a premium for a smaller space. Unless there will be over the top amenities to make up for the small living space. 3.50/sqft is to expensive for area that pretty much has turned into a tourist destination.

Anonymous

Wynwood is to disconnected from everything to make it worth 3.50 sqft.

Anonymous

Those are apartments Melo is developing and Wynwood 25 are also apartments, the rental market is actually tight so there wouldn’t be no inventory within months of opening.

Ain’t a fan of those horizontal strips of protruding windows along the building. It would look far more classy without.

Do not be alarmed, you are looking at a rendering of the Building. By the time is built, the strips will be just painted on.

Wynwood is so ghetto now.

Anonymous

Sorry, please excuse the article, it wasn’t trying to insult any wealthy pedigree such as yourself by suggesting you should move there.

Anonymous

…which is why hipsters like it for some reason. Don’t worry, because after they will be priced out and latch on to another ghetto like Brownsville or Opa-Locka.
