In Edgewater, developer Melo Group has commenced vertical construction on the twin-tower Urban22 project, according to photos by Ryan RC Rea.

Urban22 will include:

Can we get in the code that similar sized widows and balconies shall follow the Vitruvian principles of good architecture, meaning symmetry, proportion, and repetition?

The garage is hidden, but it’s still an ugly box with irregular balconies.

The vast majority of buildings, in case you haven’t noticed, are rectilinear. I know, I couldn’t believe it when I first found out too.

Pedestrian friendly? I don’t know. The base seems rather non-descript and just walls of glass.

It’ll be more pedestrian friendly than anything that preceded it.

Yeah.. I’m always okay when I’m walking down the street until I come up to one of those nasty buildings that want to beat me up…

Melo Group has previously said that a priority of the project’s design is to be pedestrian friendly and human scale. “Human Scale”?? What does that mean? Before it was planned for Ants?

That means the scale of humans.. (with the exception of all you bastards that stand 6ft and taller).
