Vertical Construction Underway At Solemia, Where 4,390 Units Planned

The massive Solemia project in North Miami is going vertical.

As part of the first phase, twin 17-story residential towers with 397 apartments are now rising.

Also included will be a Warren Henry car dealership, selling Land Rover, Range Rover, Jaguar and Infiniti brands.

An $87 million Costco is a component of the retail complex under construction.

Eventually SoleMia is planned to have 4,390 apartments surrounding two 10-acre swimmable lagoons.

I work right there.. the traffic is not as nearly as bad as you drama queens are making it out to be. Developers are damned if they do, damned if they don’t. #CryMeARiver

I agree. Once you are past 123rd, the traffic eases up quite a bit no matter what time of the week it is.

These complainers want everything this city has to offer.. oh but no traffic for me please… LOL

If only the city also offered an alternative to the traffic. You have to complain a ton before anyone cares to start thinking about spending money on alternatives though.

Agree!!! In the Upper East Side portion of the Biscayne Corridor, the Morning Side/ Belle Meade self-called activists claim the area needs to attract more pedestrian traffic, but at the same time butcher any new residential development proposed in the vacant lots along Biscayne Blvd, keeping the population density in the area one the lowest in Miami’s Urban Core.

Jorge Sanchez. You’re an idiot. The Morningside and Belle Meade folks your mentioning aren’t the issue. The issue is that Elvis Cruz pushed a 35′ height limit that has stifled all development. Most of the new board of directors in Morningside are REAL ESTATE DEVELOPERS.

Guys, there is NO WAY a Costco cost $87m. No developer could spend that on a Costco and make money

This is a pretty huge project but damn $4 Billion! I honestly don’t see $4 Billion worth of development when I see the renders. I’m wonder how long it will take them to see a return on that $4 Billion?

This might be a nice project if you were to completely ignore the traffic in the area and the fact that weekdays will be hell trying to come or go.

I’m sure that’s not in the fancy sales brochures.
