Video: Here’s What It Looks Like From The Top Of The New Miami World Tower

The first Miami World Tower isn’t yet complete – but project architect Nichols has posted a sneak peek of the view from the rooftop deck.

Miami World Tower 1 topped off in July at 53 stories, or 579 feet above ground, 590 feet above sea level.

It is the second tallest rental apartment tower in Miami, for now.

When complete, Miami World Tower 1 is planned to include:

  • 565 apartments
  • 3,000 square feet of full service restaurant
  • 401 parking spaces

Come a loooooong way since this building was homeless hq at the Camillus House – the transformation of Park West is radical.

Look at all those power grids and industrial ports! What a terrible view 🙄

Still disappointing, watered-down, vertical suburbia meets Airbnb.

This building is condos…

I love this tower – gorgeous. Can’t wait for the second tower!

Where is the second tower going?

Anon

Directly behind it – to the west

West is best in Miami

More like when!

I’m not sure but I think something unexpected may be happening with it. I did see a plan online where it looked like they were creating a paseo between 8th street and the 7th street promenade that cuts through the base of the second tower – we will see!

Please, not another twin box!

I hope this tower will have some cool light features to accentuate the design at night😍

Anon

View for now at least. I hope at some point something gets built on the land directly across from the arena.

A low rise museum or convention center there would be great and it wouldn’t overpower the Freedom Tower

Anon

NO. HAS TO BE GIANT CONDO.

Anonymous

Yes, a giant RAMSA-designed and Ritz Carlton Residences-branded condo, in the same architectural style of Freedom Tower.

Arquitectonica is on the Short List to design a next disaster tower for Miami.

In a perfect world, we would conjoin Morgan And Morgan with ARQUITECTONICA. Both on hit list for most annoying firms.

How do you fit a convention center?

Anonymous

Convention center should overlook 95 and give people an amazing view when they enter Miami.

Wish they would make that into a temporary park. i get the parking lot is used for the arena but it looks terrible and ruins the aesthetic of everything else happening in the area.

Anonymous

They should have vendors there temporarily to give nice food options until the Worldcenter is fully activated

Anonymous

As if Burgerf**k and a generic sports bar proposed for Worldcenter are culinary delights to die for.

ONLY GIANT EMPTY CONDOS ALLOWED. NO PARKS!!!!

Anonymous

TWO PARKS ACROSS THE STREET!!!

Anonymous

Those are parks where no one lives except homeless / we need more parks in the center and west sides of the city

Anon

I really hope not, actually. A park would be great there.

There’s beautiful bayfront parks literally across the street and on both sides of the arena.

Yes, I’m aware of the existence of Museum Park and Bayfront Park.

In urban planning, it’s common practice to compliment a stadium with a procession of some sort. This lot would make an ideal gathering space for heading towards the stadium, while also preserving view corridors of the Freedom Tower, the Paramount, and Kaseya Center.

Think of this area as the “front yard” of Miami, similar to how Chicago treated their waterfront.

I mean yes, I guess you could put an uber-luxe tower here that no one will live in. But I think a park on this specific lot would better compliment the existing conditions and the city.

It could be an “attraction park” like Garden by the Bay in Singapore!

This would be perfect in Martí Park are all along the Miami River Walk, not park west where they already for a bunch of dog statutes

Anonymous

Way to dodge the point. Besides, where the hell does Millennium Park in Chicago go west of Michigan Avenue? The west side is lined with buildings, as Biscayne Boulevard should, except better architecture than proposed or in the works.

Anon

I’m still surprised by how many people here would actually eliminate public parks for empty condo buildings. It’s mindblowing.

Anonymous

Park west has enough parks, we need more parks in Brickell especially on the west side so the city can expand west and be more walkable, not go north where there’s no transit or people

Anon

There’s no more room and every time someone tries the residents complain that they would rather have a condo tower

Anonymous

It should’ve had an infinity pool on top!!

Anonymous

Nice view, so you can’t see a cereal box with silly wavy balconies. If Downtown 5th was only one tower, I bet the views would be great too!

Same view as your average everyday Bang Bros “film”. 😉 LMAO

Sad but true, especially for residents of Paramount, who now not only have views of a hideous building, but hideous ways of fornication on its balconies…
