Wynwood 29 Apartment Project Tops Off, Will Add 248 Apartments To The Neighborhood

Another big Wynwood apartment project has topped off.

Contractors held a top-off ceremony at the Wynwood 29 complex last week, according to social media posts.

Wynwood 29 actually includes two buildings, one at 12 stories (178 feet) and another at 8 stories, on opposite sides of the street

The combined project will include:

  • 248 apartments
  • 26,651 square feet of retail
  • 372 parking spaces

Related Group and Metro 1 are the developers.

Arquitectonica is the architect.

Beauchamp Construction is the contractor.

Winwood is cool, but I see the region growing very disorderly, with narrow streets and sidewalks, heavy traffic and no public transport. In two or three years, it will get much worse, with the delivery of several towers. The improvement in public transport should have happened a decade ago.

29th St needs some sort of East-West mass transit connection.

Heck it needs a North-South connection.

Wynwood is really going to be the place to be low rises all unique in their own way mixed with multiple forms of entertainment and work. You can’t beat it. Always said this is like soho or tribeca

“yes sure with zero green space whatsoever”

Haha.. with the Bay and a huge Ocean on one side, and the thousands of acres Everglades National Park on the other, this guy is crying about “green space.”

Biscayne Bay isn’t green space, and the Everglades isn’t in Miami’s urban core. His point is valid. Yours is lame.

Yeah sure.. if something is not five feet right outside your door in Miami, then it’s considered too far to go to.

Good, and they’re plenty of lots next to this that need towers.

Yeah, and these are O.K. , but I wish they weren’t painted red.

Would you rather have gunmetal grey or some ugly poopy earth tones like so many buildings? The red cladding stonework looks high quality.

Arquitectonica actually designed something this side of the bay that isn’t a glass box with irregular windows and balconies, atop another box as parking pedestal with a loud mural? Say it ain’t so!

No balconies to enjoy the miami weather.

Normally I’d scream about too much parking, but until we get the mover extension and a heavy commuter stop ig 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

Good… now there need to be hundreds of structures like this in Wynwood.

It looks like Arquitectonica does a little better with smaller scale projects. Not that it would much to do better for them!!!
Just saying.

We need a rapper crying or some dead prez sprayed up on the side. They think they can get away with a plain ol’ building there?

You would love to see a huge SWASTIKA painted on the side of this building wouldn’t you?
