224 More Apartments Coming to Miami’s Urban Core As 20-Story Wynwood Haus Breaks Ground

Several hundred more apartments are coming to Miami’s urban core after a partnership of developers broke ground this week on a 20-story building called Wynwood Haus.

Foundation work was underway at the property this week, with piling equipment at the site.

The project is being built next to the Miami City Cemetery.

Wynwood Haus will include:

  • 224 apartments
  • 222 parking spaces
  • 5,375 square feet of ground floor commercial space

The tower will top off at height of 222 feet above ground, or 232 feet above sea level, according to a filing with the FAA.

TSG and Lineaire are the developers.

Corwil is the architect.

Fits with the industrial vibe of the area.

I’m so excited for this project, even though I think it should be taller. This area really needs this project, and many more!

And this area can take many more apartment projects.

You are nuts.

Apparently you have never seen or been to that area.

Not taller, but we sure need more buildings in Wyndwood. It should be as dense as Midtown to allow for more walkability.

See, that’s how you design an apartment building with balconies and not something that looks like an office building.

It’s not in wynwood

So many vacant lots in this area! Wonder if Melo owns more land here.

How will cemetery next door affect this? I particularly would not want to live next to one. Gives me the creepers.

The cemetery is sold out. People were dying to get in…

Especially when it floods and the bodies float up onto the streets

comparably If the price is better, I’ll live there.

This is a good combo given Miami’s recent surge in gun violence especially near that area. You can get an apartment there and if you end up dead, they can bury you right next door

Given the location this project is a grave undertaking.

Nice industrial design. Will benefit from the future metromover line also.

It will be just 3 blocks away from an existing Metromover stop because it’s not actually in Wynwood.

I like the look just wish they could have done something with the blank wall. I’m also wondering what type of effect the shooting in Wynwood will have on the market there? I knew it was only a matter of time before something happened out there. You can’t mix clubs and residential together, there is a reason you don’t see that mixture in many cities.

Nextdoor neighbors should be pretty quiet.

That’s a very racist and homophobic comment !!!

Don’t worry, this is the United States of America.. people all over this country are used to incidents like that happening every now an then.

This isn’t really true. White flight successfully took millions of people far from frequent gun violence.

Yeah and they still see or hear about shooting at a Mall and School near them.

It would have been nice if the wall was painted and/or veneered like the building, but at least it isn’t some crappy mural with the Grim Reaper.

the people in that brick colored condos next down are some of the most cold and uptight people ive ever met.

That’s right. Keeping it uptight for mister right.
