You’ll Soon Be Able To Slide Down This Giant Sculpture At Aventura Mall

Installation of a 93-foot sculpture is now underway at Aventura Mall, and management is promising that you’ll be permitted to actually slide down it.

The artwork is called Aventura Slide Tower, and is being designed by Belgian artist Carsten Höller.

In a press release issued by the mall, Höller compares riding down the sculpture to “an emotional state…somewhere between delight and madness.”

The slide sits in front of a new wing of the mall designed by architect Carlos Zapata, scheduled to open soon.
