Lucky Strike Opens At Miami Worldcenter, Project’s Next Phase Being Planned

Bowlero’s Lucky Strike opened this week at Miami Worldcenter, while the next phase of the development is being planned.

Lucky Strike Miami is located at Worldcenter’s Jewel Box and features 28 lanes, including a VIP room with six private bowling lanes.

The 30,000 sq. ft. facility also features an arcade, a craft cocktail bar, and culinary offerings.

Bowlero first announced the Worldcenter location on 2021.

Meanwhile, the developers behind Worldcenter’s master plan are selling bonds for the next phase of the project.

The expansion will include a plaza, walkways, five retail areas, and two parking garages, according to Bloomberg.

A total of $245 million is being borrowed to finance the expansion in the high-yield municipal bond market, the report said.

Excited to see more entertainment options coming to downtown Miami—it really adds to the living experience in Brickell and greater downtown. I’m also relieved the bowling alley is not directly in Brickell itself!

I could go bowling in Baltimore…which is a craphole.

Brickell is too boring for this, it wouldn’t fit the many same of the same restaurant venues.

I’m glad my favorite strip club is in “X,” but I live in “Y.”

2 parking garages and empty Lucid space when they go out of business.

Wow such a hater – why do people root against their own cities so much? Embarrassing.

I don’t think Miami’s residents are hating. We are a friendly people. People living in the greater downtown area know that improvements in one neighborhood help everyone, as all the areas are connected. I doubt Park West residents would make comparisons with other neighborhoods.

They are not going out of business anytime soon, on Monday they got $1 Billion dollars from their Saudi Arabia Public Investment Group. They are actually doing okay for a startup in the auto business. Their cars are very well designed and with the longest range.

Ironic coming from Saudi Arabia.

Why? I read that the Saudi Arabia Vision 2030 plan moves away from oil dependency and includes the development of new sectors like tourism, entertainment, and technology.

The whole downtown is becoming a true major city’s downtown. Rents will skyrocket soon to catch up with other cities😱

So why wouldn’t I just buy a handgun and live in Baltimore for a fraction of the cost??

Tamiami

Cause now you need a handgun and boat to get around Baltimore

Rents skyrocketing is a bad thing, this is Miami not the northeast, the wages here suck

The wages annd salaries are going up and small businesses are thriving! It’s amazing for people who want to get ahead and improve the city for everyone!

They better grease their lanes once per night.

Bowlero lanes are usually bone dry. No spinning possible.

Spoke to management on opening night, they’re previous league players and they oil the lanes 3-4x a week

I hope the greater downtown core gets a waterfront entertainment golf driving range, like put shack or drive shack!

…or the empty grass patches in Bayfront Park.

Yes! Like Chelsea Piers, I’m sure if it’s low modern people would appreciate it. Some would like climate controlled spaces along the water with larger central parks in the center of the core. Let’s get some land trades going!

Has anyone ever thought of adding a small section for a beach in Bayfront Park?

We’ve had a Putt Golf Shack inside Brickell City Centre for 3 years. Stunned that some locals never know what’s already on their doorstep!

Mini golf is different. It’s cool too, I’m talking about an indoor/outdoor driving range with a view.

I go to Putt Golf Shack all the time. He’s talking about something different. Both can go well here at same time.

So I’ll admit, I’m glad Bowlero went with an upmarket brand. The original announcement implied it would basically be a suburban location.

In a classic tale of pigs getting fat and hogs getting slaughtered, the former Lucky Strike location on South Beach (on Michigan Ave. just north of Lincoln Road) was fairly successful, but not profitable enough to afford the rent increase they got slapped with by their greedy non-resident landlord from NYC. That was back in 2015 or so.

So Lucky Strike declined to renew…and the big space they occupied has remained vacant and generating ZERO rental income ever since. Good job, landlord! Tremendous business acumen.
